As the sun rose/climbed/peaked over the savanna, we knew this day would be special. We'd been dreaming of this moment for months – the chance to witness/observe/encounter elephants in their natural/wild/untamed habitat. Suddenly/Soon/After a while, there it was – a herd/group/family of elephants grazing/browsing/feeding on the lush grasses.
